5 tbsp of water
3 tbsp of oil
½ tsp of baking soda
½ tsp of baking powder
A pinch of salt

For the beef filling:

500 g of ground beef
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 eggs, boiled
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp of mustard
1 tbsp of hot sauce, optional
1 tsp of red pepper
1 tbsp of oil
A pinch of salt

In a pot, over medium heat, add the oil and minced garlic.
Wait until warm, then incorporate the ground beef, chopped onion, pinch of salt, red pepper, mustard and the hot sauce if you decide to use it. Stir and let it cook.
When the ground beef is ready, cut your boiled eggs into little cubes and mix them with the beef. Set aside to use later.
In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups of all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Create a hole in the middle, add the water and oil.
Mix all the ingredients until you get a soft and even dough.
On a flat surface, sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of all-purpose flour and place your dough over.
Roll out the dough until about 2 mm thick and cut circles to make the empanadas. The size of the circle depends on how big or small you want them. To make a regular size empanada, cut an 8-10 cm diameter circle.
Place a tbsp. of chicken in one half of each dough circle, fold the other half over and use a fork to close the empanada; slightly press from corner to corner.
Deep fry the empanadas until golden on both sides.
Serve with your favorite sauces!
